Residents of the City of Gastonia who are in need of assistance paying for housing may be able to qualify for financial support through the Emergency Rental Payment Assistance Program. The Salvation Army of Gaston County will be administering this program with grant funding provided through the City of Gastonia. In order to be eligible for assistance you must meet the following guidelines and complete an application (link below):
- Must reside within the City Limits of Gastonia
- Must have been financially impacted, due to loss of income, as a result of COVID-19
- Must qualify as Low to Moderate Income household based on Area Median Income, as set out by US Department of HUD
