Unified Development Ordinance

New Development Codes

The Gastonia Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) combines and integrates the primary land use ordinances for Gastonia into one document, including Zoning, Subdivision, and Flood Hazard Prevention. The UDO, through more specific provisions, addresses general development requirements including, but not limited to, land use/zoning of property, design of commercial buildings, parking and circulation design, landscaping and open space designations, allowed signage, subdivision and residential development design, and construction concerning flood plains.
