The Water and Sewer Section's primary function is to design and develop plans for the extension of the City's water and sewer systems. Presently, the majority of plans produced are for water and sewer petitions submitted by the citizens of Gastonia. Other duties include developing plans for the upgrading to the present infrastructure and replacing the aged and deteriorated infrastructure.
