Water / Sewer

The Customer Service Section is responsible for the coordination of the installation of new water and sewer services, the installation and maintenance of all water meters in the utility system, and administers the city's cross-connection control prevention program. Provides a resource and contact for new developments and businesses to address water and sewer service requirements. The testing and calibration of all water meters (+26,000) is performed by this section. Provides direction for utility revenue security program and appropriate corrective action by staff. The Customer Service Section has two work groups, Meter Service and Repair and Service Request, with seven employees to perform the daily functions of the section.

The Customer Service Section is located at the Municipal Operations Center at 1300 N. Broad Street. For utility service problems contact the utilities department at 704.866.6843 24/7.
